IDRE – GASMAS Sinusits diagnosis
Project decription: Sinus problems, such as sinusitis are common and hard to diagnose, which leads to a large over consumption of antibiotics [1]. Diagnostic methods include clinical examination, X-ray, and endoscopy, where the latter examples are used for patients with reoccurring sinus problems. A need for a simple diagnostic tool usable in primary care clinics is needed. More information: IDRE_GASMAS.pdf

IDRE – LED based spectroscopy
Projektbeskrivning: Under de senaste åren har tre viktiga komponenter för att utföra tillämpad optisk spektroskopi upplevt ett uppsving i fråga om prestanda och produktionskostnader – dessa komponenter är 1) att lysdioder (LED), varje år med ökad effektivitet och nya spektrala täckning, 2) CCD och CMOS detektorer, vinnare av Nobelpriset 2009, varje år med bättre prestanda
och lägre kostnad och 3) den ökade datorkraft, nu parallella behandling med grafikprocessorer, som möjliggör tolkning av enorma mängder data i en bråkdel av en sekund. Mer information: IDRE_LED.pdf
