PIEp Researchers Network Spring Meeting, 9-10 June 2010

Dear PIEp Researchers!

PIEp is proud of the strong network of researchers that has been built up over the years through engagement in a variety of different projects and activities! As a vital part of that network, we are pleased to invite you to the 2010 Spring PIEp Research Network Meeting, 9-10th June. (NB not 28/29 April as previously announced)

It takes place in parallel with the Passion of Innovation at LOVE2010 in Stockholm. The purpose of the meeting is to draw on experiences within PIEp research so far and to create the future PIEp research map. The programme includes speeches from PIEp research fellows, inspirational speakers and an invitation to reflect upon your own research in relation to “how to increase innovation capabilities”.

An outline of the programme is given below. PIEp will cover the cost of the days - all you need to pay for is your travel. We hope you can join us!

PIEp Journal Writing Journey

During 2009 PIEp tested a concept for increasing co-publication between its different disciplines and nodes. The concept, Tiger Team Writing Workshops, was successful and had the intended result of a large number of conference papers at ICED’09.

To continue the concept into 2010, a series of workshops focused on scientific journal publication will take place in January, February and August 2010!

Members of the PIEp Researchers Network and PIEp Research School have been invited to participate, with the purpose of developing their own publication strategy. During the two first workshops lectures on journal publication will be given and discussions held on journals and strategies for publication. Our intention is also that every participant writes a paper during this period for submission (and feedback) in advance of the third workshop.
