Innoplant

Project coordinator: Erik Pineiro
Time period: 2008-2011

InnoPlant was a research and development effort based on the assumption that new forms of collaboration in healthcare can and should be developed to create higher innovativeness in solutions for the future. The project ran from November 2008 to November 2011 and included five subprojects and nine network meetings and seminars. The participating actors were ArjoHuntleigh, The Centre for Technology in Medicine and Health (CTMH), Getinge Infection Control, The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Lund University, Maquet Critical Care, Region Skåne and Stockholm County Council.

During the project the participating actors tested a number of different collaboration strategies and developed a deep understanding of the hurdles and possibilities inherent in these cross-boundary efforts. Most of these strategies, and many of the lessons learned have been articulated in a Collaborative Healthcare Innovation Workbook, available for digital download on this site.

The workbook is intended as a guide for stakeholders from the public, private, and academic sectors seeking to advance their capability to collaborate in the co-creation of healthcare innovations. It includes a range of practical exercises, examples, insights and practical tips aimed to stimulate dialogue, reflection and learning about how your organization can improve its collaboration with other stakeholders in the healthcare innovation system, to more closely attend to stakeholder needs, and involve a wider range of stakeholders in the co-creation of healthcare innovations.
