Research for Innovation
Most research within PIEp is empirical, ie based on the experience and knowledge into practical innovation. In further collaborations (1-3 years), a research project can be an important resource to a change in a company. Firstly, the research often involves a survey of state-of-the-art in an organization. Secondly, the scientists will add knowledge and theoretical base that is usually not available in a company. An additional strength of a co-academy-industry is that the Academy brings together different companies and an exchange of experience between different organizations can be created.
